The Story Behind The Illuminated Letter Three years ago I lost my father while working a high stress tech startup job. I went to a very dark place. Art is what pulled me back. I started using specific art exercises combined with breathwork and reflection to get myself grounded again. It worked. So I got certified as an art healing coach and began teaching these same practices to other women — in private sessions, corporate workshops and at the North Carolina Museum of Art. What I kept seeing was the same thing over and over. Women who were overwhelmed, overstretched and running on empty. Women who had stopped doing anything just for themselves. So I created The Illuminated Letter.
