Notes of Sunshine

Hi, I'm Karen! I'm a wife, mom, nana to five wonderful grandchildren, dog mom, and the woman behind Notes of Sunshine. Caring for the people I love has been a meaningful part of my life. When my mom was battling cancer, I helped care for her, and after she passed away, I was there to help care for my dad. Being able to support them during those seasons of life was both an honor and a privilege. I also spent several busy years providing daycare for my five grandchildren while working full-time in the evenings. It was a full season of life, but I wouldn't change a thing. My time volunteering at a local horse rescue, helping care for horses who need a little extra attention, has also been a meaningful part of my life. Whether caring for family or helping animals in need, being able to offer care and kindness has always held a special place in my heart. These experiences have helped me grow in compassion and patience and shown me how much it means to be there for others. They've also taught me to appreciate the small things that can brighten a day. A thoughtful note, an unexpected surprise, or simply knowing someone is thinking of you can mean so much. And sometimes, we need those reminders ourselves. That's why I created Notes of Sunshine. Notes of Sunshine is for women who give so much of themselves to others, whether they're caring for family, supporting a friend, looking after a beloved pet, or simply navigating the many demands of everyday life. You don't have to be in a difficult season or have a specific caregiving role to belong here. If you'd enjoy a little happiness delivered to your mailbox, there's a place for you. Each month, I'll put together an envelope filled with cheerful paper goodies. My hope is that opening your envelope feels like hearing from a friend, brings a smile to your face, and reminds you that you deserve kindness and thoughtful moments, too.
