Ia ora na! I'm Maeva, a writer living in French Polynesia. I created Fenua Letters to share real stories from my islands, including the funny, unexpected, and sometimes less picturesque sides of everyday life. But my interests go far beyond island life. I also write about education, younger generations, society, and the things happening in our world that make me question, reflect, or sometimes disagree. I have my own opinions, doubts, and contradictions, and I don't pretend to have all the answers. I simply enjoy observing life, questioning what we take for granted, and sharing my thoughts through stories and real letters sent from the Pacific.

Fenua Letters

Fenua Letters is a monthly mail club built around true stories from my life in French Polynesia. I don’t choose a monthly theme and then create a story around it. The story happens first — a kitten found abandoned beside a path, a midnight visitor beneath the house, an encounter on the island — and the letter comes afterwards. Each month, you’ll receive a real letter from French Polynesia, a photograph connected to the story, and a few carefully chosen paper pieces that let you stay with that story a little longer. The letters are sent in order, so wherever you join, your journey begins with Letter #1. No commitment. Cancel anytime.
