Hi, I’m Katelyn Casto—the writer, artist, and Keeper of the Archives behind Velvet Hollow Archives. I’ve always loved storytelling, beautiful details, and the feeling of stepping into another world. My art blends writing, character design, vintage-inspired imagery, and physical keepsakes to create immersive murder mysteries that feel like forgotten secrets delivered straight to your mailbox. Each month, I write a new mystery and bring its world to life through artwork, letters, evidence, newspaper clippings, bookmarks, and other carefully designed pieces. My hope is that opening an edition of Velvet Hollow feels like discovering a hidden archive—one filled with haunting histories, complicated characters, and secrets waiting for you to uncover. For me, this is more than a mail club. It is a piece of my imagination made tangible, created for readers who still believe a story can feel like magic.
