BirdseedChicky

BirdseedChicky is a studio practice centered around original artworks and jewelry shaped from fragments of stories, memories and musings. After years of putting my own art aside while I focused on teaching, I found my way back to creating through journals, drawing, collage and collecting little fragments of paper along the way. My jewelry pieces are wearable narrative objects, while the Emergence series and collage art forms a catalogued archive of mixed media fragments. My artwork is an ongoing exploration of narrative objects- small works that carry traces of imagery, symbolism, and material storytelling. My jewelry pieces function as wearable fragments, while original artworks exist as archival studies and visual records. Across all my work, the focus remains the same: creating objects that feel collected rather than merely made- pieces that hold quiet narrative presence, whether worn or displayed. The name of my shop is a tribute to my family, combining the two unique nicknames given to me by my grandparents on each side.
